Crabs, Starfish and Jellies

>> Friday, June 3, 2011

Jean Marie and Kimberly called me Wednesday afternoon saying they were in town and wanted to see if
I would like to go for a walk on the beach with them... Jean and Kim? The beach? A walk?  Count me in!

So that's exactly what we did.  And on our walk, we found many dead crabs, tons of jelly fish, half of a
sand dollar (a.k.a. sand fifty cent... which after being in my pocket - bad idea, Em - turned into two sand
quarters), and one starfish.  We're thinking the abundance of dead crabs had something to do with the
rough surf.  So thankful for God's incredible creation!

After getting there and feeling the amazingly perfect water, I was really wishing we were going to the
beach to swim... but that's alright, we had a great time anyway.  We'll just have to go back soon!  :)

Sweet sisters :)

I love sand ♥
Hm... you can just ignore that slight flip flop tan there...
*facepalm* What a Floridian....

It was rather windy :)

It's difficult to get a self portrait with a 50mm lens :)

One of the many jellies we saw (and almost stepped on)

Beautiful blue skies... and think, it had just stormed a few hours earlier!

How cool is this crab shell??

Kimberly came to us with her treasures.  This was the first of many dead
crabs we found, but the only starfish :)

And the starfish was alive!  We put it back in the water...

{Posted on Six Angles today for our theme this week: Water}

(thanks for the picture, Jean!)

I had my hair in a bun, but it was blowing all around and driving me nuts,
so I let it down... and it still drove me nuts...
Oh well :D

These little boogers hurt when they sting you.

Moon jelly!  These don't sting.  Lots of fun, too (as you can see :)

The end!
Have a fantastic weekend!

Emily E,
Have you ever heard or read about someone that you had never met and thought how wonderful it would be to get to know them and be friends?

You're one of those people. Wish we could meet... If you're headed to heaven like I am, then we will someday! Hurray!

Love you! -Rebekah
